Sangiovese di Toscana

This sangiovese is full bodied with a somewhat lingering sharp finish.  The full aroma of this wine compliments its heavy body.  There are strong notes of berries in its aroma that are carried through to the flavor.  It has a pleasant complexity that you would need to be aware of when trying to pair it with food items.  I would recommend this wine to go with heavier appetizers, rather than the entree itself.  The richness of the wine would be difficult to properly match with a main dish without the combination becoming overly rich.  Simple and refined is what I prefer.

Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene

This wine is light in body which is further enhanced by the effervescent qualities of a prosecco.  As expected by the name it is very dry and followed by short finish.  It is an easily accessible wine with little complexity to its flavor.  While drinking you will notice subtle notes of green apple, pear, and acacia.  Its simplicity would lead it nicely to go with many dishes.  As with many white wines I would pair it with a spicy main dish or light appetizers.
